Bursa – Bursa Metropolitan Mayor Recep Altepe visited the Provincial Police Director Osman Ak and wished success in his new position. Police Director Osman Ak said that they will work shoulder to shoulder with the Metropolitan Municipality in order to provide the environment where Bursa residents will live in peace and security.

Metropolitan Mayor Recep Altepe visited Osman Ak, who was appointed as the Bursa Chief Constable, in his office. Wishing success to Ak in his new position, President Altepe reminded that the population of Bursa increased by an average of 50 thousand each year, and this number exceeded 70 thousand in foreign migrations such as Syria last year. Expressing that as the development and growth continues in Bursa, the population increase will continue, President Altepe said, “However, Bursa is a city that is prone to peace. Peace is also an important issue for us. Because what is good if you cover everywhere with gold after there is no peace. Our first priority is peace. So your biggest helper will be Metropolitan Municipality. We destroyed over a thousand buildings in the city center just to ensure peace. Police Chief Osman Ak also emphasized that traffic is the most prominent problem in Bursa. He said “However, this problem is not an issue that neither us nor you will overcome. By giving shoulder to shoulder together, we will provide an environment where Bursa residents will live in peace and security. Derelict buildings are important issue for not only Bursa but also Turkey. Crime and criminal removal are important in fighting drugs.
